On December 28th, CR Cement (Tianyang) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CR Building Materials Technology, held the unveiling ceremony of the "Lighthouse Factory" in Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. This marks the official establishment of the world's first "Lighthouse Factory" in the global building materials industry under CR Building Materials Technology. Leaders and guests attending the event included An Xing, General Manager of Intelligent and Digital Department of CR Group, Liu Bo, Deputy Director of the Industrial and Information Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liu Desheng, Deputy Mayor of Baise City, and Zeng Weikang, District Chief of Tianyang District. Nearly 200 company leaders and employee representatives, including Ji Youhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CR Building Materials Technology, and Jing Shiqing, CEO of the company, attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by Jing Shiqing, CEO of CR Building Materials Technology.

On behalf of Deputy General Manager Chen Xiaojun, An Xing, General Manager of CR Group's Smart and Digitalization Department, delivered a speech, expressing appreciation for CR Building Materials Technology's successful undertaking of the task of "creating a benchmark for CR Group's process manufacturing industry transformation" and vividly practicing the role of "being a pioneer in the digital transformation of central state-owned enterprises". CR Building Materials Technology began exploring smart factory construction in 2018. They designed intelligent manufacturing solutions in six major business areas: EHS management, mining, production, quality, equipment, and transportation. They selected Tianyang Cement in Baise City, Guangxi as the pilot project for the "trial and advancement" of a fully integrated smart factory. Tianyang Cement used 4IR use cases and advanced technologies to significantly improve personnel efficiency, equipment efficiency, sustainability, and quality. They achieved a 24% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, a 105% increase in cement production per capita, a 56% decrease in unplanned equipment downtime, and a 25% improvement in quality stability.

The "Lighthouse Factory" was selected through a stringent evaluation process conducted by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey. Being recognized as the "most advanced factory in the world," it serves as a model for "digital manufacturing" and "Globalization 4.0," representing the highest level of intelligent manufacturing and digitalization in the global manufacturing industry. The honor bestowed upon CR Building Materials Technology not only marks a significant milestone in the digital transformation and upgrading of CR Building Materials Technology and even CR Group, but also fills the gap in the global building materials industry for a "Lighthouse Factory."
